The Khazars were a pagan nation in between the Christian west and the Muslim east. They were beseeched by both sides to convert and join them in battle. The king asked both religions about their roots and found both religions originated in Judaism. He made the clever political choice to convert to Judaism and did not have to choose a side. Only the king and nobles converted. Later the common people became Muslims and Catholics. A large study of the DNA of Jews that was done recently did not find any Khazer Jews. The European Jews all have middle eastern DNA, showing origins in the middle east, not in the slavic area where the Khazars were. http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/read/GENEALOGY-DNA/2003-08/1060503167

In his two books:
1. The History of the Jewish Khazars. New York: Schocken Books, 1967.
2. "The Khazars." The Dark Ages: Jews in Christian Europe, 711-1096. 1966.
D Dunlop, tells us: “.Do you know who the jews really are? (I call them Jews to you, because they are known as Jews. I don't call them Jews myself. I refer to them as so-called Jews, because I know what they are.) The eastern European Jews, who form 92 per cent of the world's population of those people who call themselves Jews, were originally Khazars. They were a warlike tribe who lived deep in the heart of Asia. And they were so warlike that even the Asiatics drove them out of Asia into eastern Europe. They set up a large Khazar kingdom of 800,000 square miles. At the time, Russia did not exist, nor did many other European countries. The Khazar kingdom was the biggest country in all Europe -- so big and so powerful that when the other monarchs wanted to go to war, the Khazars would lend them 40,000 soldiers. That's how big and powerful they were.
They were phallic worshippers, which is filthy and I do not want to go into the details of that now.”
These are the people who became what we call Jews.. There wasn't one of them who had an ancestor who ever put a toe in the Holy Land
But that was their religion, as it was also the religion of many other pagans and barbarians elsewhere in the world. The Khazar king became so disgusted with the degeneracy of his kingdom that he decided to adopt a so-called monotheistic faith -- either Christianity, Islam, or what is known today as Judaism, which is really Talmudism. By spinning a top, and calling out “eeny, meeny, miney, moe,” he picked out so-called Judaism. And that became the state religion. He sent down to the Talmudic schools of Pumbedita and Sura and brought up thousands of rabbis, and opened up synagogues and schools, and his people became what we call Jews..

The people of the country known as Khazaria all converted to Judaism, and therefore became Jews. This proves that being a Jew is NOT a race, as anyone who converts to the religion of Judaism becomes a Jew. The connection to Zionism is that therefore anyone and everyone who converts to Judaism becomes a Jew, and therefore has the obligation to support Israel, the country of the birth of their faith.

Try Google young man, it is like an information land grab!
"And I have the keys of hell and death, signifies that He alone can save. By "keys" is signified the power of opening and shutting; here the power of opening hell, that man may be brought forth, and of shutting, lest, when he is brought forth, he should enter again. For man is born in evils of all kinds, thus in hell, for evils are hell; he is brought out of it by the Lord, to whom belongs the power of opening it. That by "having the keys of hell and death," is not meant the power of casting into hell, but the power of saving, is because it immediately follows after these words:
Behold, I am alive for ages of ages;
by which is signified that He alone is eternal life (n. 60); and the Lord never casts anyone into hell, but man casts himself. By "keys" is signified the power of opening and shutting, in Revelation also (3:7; 9:1; 20:1; also in Isa. 22:21, 22; in Matt. 16:19; and in Luke 11:52). The power of the Lord is not only over heaven, but also over hell; for hell is kept in order and connection by oppositions against heaven; for which reason, He who rules the one must necessarily rule the other; otherwise man could not be saved; to be saved is to be brought out of hell" (Apocalypse Revealed n. 62).
