209lbs isnt that much for a female at 6 foot tall.....Im sure youre not the size you want to be because society dictates that we should all be super thin........ I am 5ft 10.......and presently weight around 175.... I would love to be 155 but at that weight I find that I have to watch everything that I eat....and this weight I dont think about it..try and keep myself busy.... I would imagine that you'd feel quite confortable around 180lb....being your so tall? Depends on your age too....after 35 the metablolism slows down and the weight goes on unless you keep active. You could of course weight 150 and be very, very skinny, is that what you truly want? Get to a weight that you feel comfortable in....feel confident in...for some its less than others...only you will be able to tell.. Good luck....be happy....and most of all be confident...

Hello!
I used to be overweight. To determine how much weight I should use, I used an indicator called the Body Mass Index (BMI). The BMI is calculated by multiplying your weight in pounds by 703 and then dividing by your height in inches squared. BMI's between 20 and 25 are considered normal weight. I calculated your BMI to be 28, which is overweight. To reach a BMI of 25, all you would need to lose is 25 pounds. The low end of your weight/height range would be 147 pounds.
Over a period of four years, I lost about 50 pounds. I am now fluctuating with a BMI between 23 and 24. All I did was cut down on the portions of what I ate and walked for about 30 to 60 minutes every one or two days. I've kept most of the weight off for over two years. I do eat chocolate, but I don't eat as much as I used to. I also weight myself at least weekly, and I try to include as many vegetables in my diet as I can.
I hope this helps. :)

The fact that you are tall, you prpbabaly look GREAT. But, I would just lose about 20 lbs. just to feel more confidant about yourself. My Nurse recommended the Medifast Diet to me. You eat 5-6 small meals a day and lose weight with little or no exercise. It works great and I have lost 25 lbs. so far. You can e-mail me lovejae247@yahoo.com and I will give you the information. I hope this helps.

Only enough til you feel good about yourself. Don't ever go by other people. You're tall so you can weigh more and still look good. Just start dieting and exercising and you might realize that your firm and happy and didn't have to lose all that much.

Lose the weight gradually and you will be more successful at keeping it off. Start with 5 pounds and go from there.

for a woman of your size, an ideal weight would be 140lbs. A lot depends on how your body distributes it. It the right places, a little weight looks good.

you should weigh about 180 or so depending on your build and what is right for your body.
tips from me to you, that has seemed to help me:
STOP ALL fast food (processed food reaks havok on your body)
and drastically reduce your sugar (gluose, sucrose, anything ending in an "ose" - try brown rice syrup, its a natural sweetener made from rice that doesnt break down in your body like glucose, and it works great!)
And dont forget your veggies!!
GOOD LUCK!

You can easily look this up yourself by typing "height weight" into your search engine.
According to Weight Watchers, your ideal range is 147 to 169 for your height and age.
