Yes unfortunately men have a saying about women "treat them mean and keep them keen";so the same can be said for both.
However I would have to say that the prevalence is on the side of men treating women badly rather than the other way around !

Frankly, that's been my experience with women, actually.
I have a theory... when you are treated badly there is some mechanism inside you that somehow wants to try to change that opinion so you go out of your way to try to please the person.
There are a lot of women out there who are with total scumbags, and the worse they get treated, the more they want to go back to them and either change them, or change themselves for them...and it never works. It's sad. It's like they have no self respect. Then they are mentally screwed up the rest of their lives and just bounce from loser to loser, all the time whining about wanting to find a nice guy... but if they actually find one, he's not exciting enough for them.
I guess that's why I am still single...I don't believe in treating women like crap, therefore I guess they find me boring or not dangerous enough. I guess I'll have to become nasty, get a few tattoos, a Harley, and act like I don't care...then they'll love me.

Well, it does work both ways as I know from experience but the answer is that if you treat them badly they are scared of losing you and if you don't they aren't.

no one wants someone that worships them (although you might think that you do, you dont), they want a friend, companion that they can kick back, joke, kid around with, and enjoy life with
