Absolutely. Breaking up via text message is never appropriate. If you have only been on a few dates, you owe this person at least a phone call. If you've been together a few months, do it in person.

It's not only rude, but I think it's the most chicken crap thing a person could do. If you want to break up with someone, I know it's difficult but you need to go up to them, talk to them, tell them why you feel that way and get over and done with.

Yes! Not to mention heartless.... if you once had feelings for this person you were dating and are now looking to end the relationship, then you need to keep respect for the other individsual's feelings and for the feelings that you once shared with them. The only way to break-up with someone and still show them that you respect them is to do it in person, face to face... no texting, not phone calls, no e-mail, and deffinently no best friends going over and doing it for you! You and only you can be the one to break it to him.

OMG Uhhhhh yeah its rude. I'd say if you do it, keep a close eye on your car, or anything valuable. Cuz let me just say if that happened to me. The car would be the first to go! My bf lives two hours away and has a gate... and I'd drive out there, scale the gate and go to TOWN on his car! lmao

Rude. Low-down. Trifling. Cowardly. Impersonal. Need I say more.
My daughter's BF did that and as far as I am concerned, "Good riddance." That busta!

the mature thing todo would be to handle it face to face and be honest while trying to be polite. i think that is how you should deal with it, but if you are uncomfortable with that then i guess you have to do what you feel...at any rate i wish you luck.

ASK YOURSELF THE QUESTION, DID YOU MEET THROUGH TEXT MESSAGING? SO DO NOT BREAK IT OFF WITH A TEXT MESSAGE. GO TO THAT INDIVIDUAL WITH YOUR HEAD HELD HIGH, GIVE THEM THE REASON AND THEN BREAK IT OFF.
