It's hard to accept the fact that, although you want to help, you also don't want to appear selfish and say no, isn't it? At the end of the day, what can you live with? There is no absolute answer to your question. I agree...listen to your heart. And remember....NOTHING is permanent EXCEPT death. You can always change your mind....either way.

Just don't lose yourself in the process. Take care.

I made the choice to look after my family members, one after another as they aged and became unwell, and I have never been sorry, I have wondered how differently things might have worked out, but could not have lived with myself had my da and ma been in an old folks home, or auntie been alone, or my sister been without me in the end.
It is up to you.
You will have to live with the choice, remember that.
Listen to your heart.
