Is there a web site one can go to to research triptyc paintings that are signed?

These were generally painted in antiquity and thus lots were not signed. Most of them are now attributed to artists anyway so you could start your research with them.

Try www.wga.hu for many of the masters works.

Alternatively if you have access to historical documentation you could find who comissioned what and from whom. There is quite a lot of this type of primary source in existance and many learned writings already.

There probably aren't all that many triptychs that are signed, since the form was most popular in an era when artists typically didn't sign their works, e.g. the 1400's. Still, you could go to some of the sites with examples in their collections, e.g. www.metmuseum.org and nationalgallery.org.uk
