I love living in West Michigan, so a good city to live in will depend on what you are most interested in. Good schools? Real estate? Crime rate? Start checking the populations in areas you think you may be interested. There are all kinds of realty web sites that offer links to that information when you look at houses in the area.

Three Rivers, or one of the outlying townships or villages:
I grew up there, and I wish like mad I could get my husband to leave his mother and move there with me. ;-) Centrally located it's right on US 131 so it's a fairly easy commute to other locations for jobs etc...

Vassar, it is close to Saginaw the city and not too far from Bay City the other close city - Frankenmuth is also nice closer even yet to Saginaw and something is always going on in that town... It is very nice! Lots of jobs too...

Depends on what you wanna be close to. My mother grew up in a small town called Buchanan, it's close to the Mich/Illinois border. I've been there, seems like a nice little town.

Eaton Rapids. 25 Miles south of Lansing.
Probably a 1% crime rate if that.
Beautiful little town.

Port huron isnt exactly small but still nice.
Places like farmington are nice

there are a few like Garden city, Westland, Livonia, Canton those are great cities to move too they are located perfectly.
