there are false bibles amidst us.

This is a very -very serious study that I am going to show you.

There are many verses omitted & their meanings changed from the bible in (majorly) niv (new international version). I will not suggest you to buy not even King James Version or new KJV.

The bible that you SHOULD buy must have this

1.King James version which has this written on it-
“Translated out of the original tounges and with the former translations diligently compared and revised.

2. authorised King James Version.

3. the words of Jesus should be printed in red. (so that you will better understand the distinction between writer’s writing & Jesus words.

But if you have budget than buy niv also for witnessing the false translation subject to others.

Find the evidence:

Isaiah 14 verse 12 does not have Lucifer’s name in most of the translations - & that’s the one & only place it appears.

#Entire 17 verses omitted

Mathew 17:21, 18:11, 23:14,

mark 7:16,9:44,46 11:26,15:28

Luke 17:36, 23:17,

John 5:4,

acts 8:37, 15:34, 24:7, 28:29

romans 16:24
1 john 5:7

And portions of 178 verses ommited.
173 times name of lord Jesus Christ ommited
38 times lord Jesus
43 times Christ
lord 35 times
God 31 times
Other names of God 26 times
36 times hell is changed.

The last book in the Bible contains the words, "This is the word of GOD, nothing shall be added, nothing shall be taken away"

Both the Hebrew and Christian faiths believe that the Bible, though written by man, was written under/with GOD controlling the writers so that only GODS truth is written.

If we do not believe that, then neither faith has a credible authority, on earth, from which to bias there faith.

Believing the Bible, then, as it is written, NO ONE MAY CHANGE WHAT IS WRITTEN. Today exist many, many differently worded books, published under the name BIBLE!

Man has the audacity to publish Versions of the Bible, or the NEW ????? Bible, etc, etc, etc. In all of these the text has been
altered, change to suit who ever whim and ignore GODS text!

Use the Internet, History of the Bible, the oldest Latin translation into English will be about the best you can do.

All the rest have wordings relative to what the publisher wanted to say, instead of keeping to GODS word, nothing shall be changed!

Any Bible that is printed in English is a translation which means that we are dependent on the translators to have correctly understood God's word as it was originally given. I would question if one single translation is able to do that. I own and use several. If I am just reading I use the NIV but when I am studying some passage or subject I use several. If you only wish to buy one you can get the NIV or another which you are comfortable and use the Internet for research as several translations are available.

I've heard the Contemporary English Version is the easiest to understand, but I go for the New King James Version to have that old kind of feel and still understand the text.

I have been using the New Revised Standard Version, and I like it a lot.

If you want something with much more contemporary language, The Good News Bible is also a good choice.

King James has some bias in its translation, but I guess they all do. But the RSV and NRSV have tried to neutralize the bias, and updated the language to make it more understandable.

i guess it depends on what you are using the Bible for:

For Reading (easy to understand) the NIV is the most standard bible. Good transaltions include: The New Living Translation (i also like the Message).

For Bible Study: Go with the NASB (most similar to the original Greek). Although i prefer the NKJV (which is very similar to the NASB- but more poetic in language- particularly the Psalms).

Hope that helps,

Nickster

Michael,

Thank you for the nice question. I have several Bibles that I use regularly. My preference is the New American Bible, but I do live in the States. It is based on the earliest and most complete texts available, and it is translated into current proper English. It comes standard with cross Scriptural references, which I find helpful, and definitions of some difficult terms. It is available in Paperback for about $8.00 US.

It really depends on what type of reading your planning on doing
if you want to read right through the bible in a understandable version get the Message bible if you are looking for an all purpose bible get the NIV if you are looking for a hardcore study bible KJV
