Generally speaking if a med to large dog makes it to ten years without development of health problems in orthopedics, bloat, cancer, trauma/accident, or some other common thing that takes our dogs away, then your dog may live to be 12 to 16 years old.

Its really hard to say because you have to put the dogs diet into consideration, how much exercise they get, and all of that stuff. I have two shepard collie mixes and they are going on 9 years old. They are former outdoor dogs, but for the past couple of years have been inside pets. They eat once a day with Plenty of treats and get plenty of exercise with their 3 other dog friends. For the most part they are healthy except for some small lumps, but that is typical for a dog of that age. As long as your dog is well taken care of, he should live a long happy life. Be sure to make your yearly vet trips to detect any signs of illness. If you do, you will be able to treat any sort of cancer or illness while its still early before it worsens. I hope this answered your question for you.

I grew up with a collie mix, but the other breed must have been a sheltie or other small dog. He lived to about 15 years. I think larger breeds may have a slightly shorter lifespan. I hope your pet lives to a ripe old age.

Depending on how big the mix is, 10-15 years. The larger the mix is, the shorter the lifespan

if the you know the mix then it will help usually the collie will live for about 20-30 years if taken good care, mostly they die of hip problems or displasia, usually in their late teens early twenties
