No. It is not a perversion. This was established in the sixties or seventies I think by medical professionals. It is not something that is nesassarily learned so you cannot argue nature vs. nurture in it either. It is ingrained into a person. It is part of them. Some scientists and doctors believe it may be a chemical inbalance in the body but this theory can neither be proven or disproven.

Yes, it's been demonstrated in psychology that many men and women in their 20's/30's today who had homosexual tendencies early in life - 8 years through their teens - all have similar stories that they were strongly attracted to the same sex but tried to date the opposite sex despite those observed feelings. A child who has homosexual tendencies may have an easier time coming to terms with his/her homosexuality earlier rather than later in life if they've been educated by their parents that homosexuality indeed does exist in the world and is not a "sexual perversion." The intimacy, love and commitment in a homosexual relationship/partnership is absolutely no different than what can be reached and attained in any heterosexual marriage/relationship.

I would like to expound on what "just me" said. The hypothalamus of a heterosexual boy is smaller than a heterosaxual girl. While a homosexual boy has a hypothalamus that is the same size with a girls. On the other hand, about the morality of homosexuality. I'm a christian so sorry if your an athiest. What I learned from my ethics class is it's not bad to be a homosexual you can even have a relationship but you can't marry and sex outside of marriage is bad then having sex with your partner is bad. But if you've already done it's not that bad.

The notion that homosexuality is a clinical "perversion" went out in the 1960s. While many conservative Christians still feel it is "perverted," most, if not all, psychologists agree that homosexuality is not some sort of mental defect. It is more of a biological issue.

To say that homosexuality is biological is just one part of the Nature vs Nurture debate on human sexuality. Have science proved that homosexuality exists? I think that has been answered long long time ago. What we are answering now is the how.

Science doesn't make sociological judgements. In fact Science proves just the opposite. ---Homosexuality occurrs in almost every species of animal. Including Monkeys and even Dogs.
It is Society, Jesus Freaks, and ignorant asses who choose to call something a "perversion". There is a lot of hate in this world, and a lot of people use God and Religion as a means to hate and feel justified in doing so.

I know a lot of gays are claiming it's not a perversion.
If it isn't normal heterosexual intercourse it is a perversion.
I'm not condeming anyone for it though.
Heteros can be perverts too.
I have perversions of my own.
They just don't include sex with men.
As long as I can find someone to share them with I don't care what people call it.
You have my permission to be gay.
Enjoy your perversion.

It is indeed genetic and can be traced through family history. I suggest you look at your local library for several articles in Time Magazine.
