Him and i use to be like best buds and like a year ago he started to change he yel like at everyone and got slaped once

Maybe everyone else changed and he's totally normal.
Ha, ha.
It could be one of several things:
1) Breakup in a relationship with wife/girlfriend
2) Financial trouble such as not able to pay his bills or a failed business
3) He is unsatisfied with how his life has turned out and he's taking his frustration out on everyone else.
4) He has developed a mental illness- they usually kick in when you hit your mid 20's.
5) He's having trouble at work
6) He's abusing drugs and/or alcohol
7) He has a gambling, sex, or other addiction which affects how he interacts with others
8) Maybe he just decided to start being a jerk
Whatever it is, I hope you and him can repair your relationship.

Has anything ever happened to him in the last year? Maybe he has PTSD, or has developed an anger management problem. Try to talk to him or have a family meeting if you feel that he will get violent.

Well, I wouldn't exactly go up and ask him to his face what problem he has developed.. I would do a little investigating on my own, and asking family members..
You didn't state the ages of yourself and your uncle, so, it's hard to state a definite answer to your problem.
However, I wish you luck. It's hard to lose a friend... especially when they are related to you.
