Yes, it's fine, however you should prepare your hair for that type of treatment and you should condition your hair regularly.
Use a deep conditioner after shampooing (every time you shampoo) and use a good, thick, leave in conditioner before curling/blow drying etc.
If you have super thin hair, use biosilk (or oil sheen istead) just be safe and recognize your options

My neighbore works for an Aveda salon and i alwas curl my hair or straighten it. she told me that i should put mousse or something in it when i curl or straighten it so it doesnt get fragile an burn. blow drying is fine though. just dont get the dryer too close to your head! lol

why wouldnt it? i blowdry it, straighten it, and then curl the ends. but, i do use stuff to condition it, so it doesnt get split ends and get frizz...

Yes it is ok to do both but you have to know when is too much because other wise you will be balding in certain places due to the excessive heat.

yeah , but if you do it everyday there is this stuff at drugstores that is "heat protecting" spray or cream that prevents and repairs the damage you're doing from the heat.
