People know what OTHER people mean by it, but I don't think it's well defined. So, this is stuff that is exclusively of interest to adults? Or is it stuff that is inappropriate for children? Or is it stuff that is exclusively UNinteresting to children? I just don't think the things we commonly group under that term have ANYTHING to do with age, intensity, or maturity. "Adult content" does not include real-life murders on the news. It does not include the dogs humping down the street. It does not include Presidential Adresses broadcast over Saturday morning cartoons (I hate that!!!), even though children can't vote or go kill the people the President wants them to... Anyway, is religion "adult content"?

It seems to me that most of what the majority of people consider to be "adult content" is material that is unsuitable for...adults. The only thing that really needs to be kept from children is direct emotional and psychological abuse. Even though I'm 37 years old now I still vividly remember a lot of my childhood, even early childhood as far back as 3 years old. I don't have any deep emotional scars from any of the things that I've seen. It's funny that a lot of the things people want to shield their children from won't phase them at all. Do you suppose that maybe because it is the adults that get offended viewing the material that they then immediately assume that it will have an even greater effect on kids without any real thought about the whole process?

Adult Content means PORN - or something that can and will help twist young minds.
Almost all of the kiddie TV and Comics I have looked at for the past year is ADULT CONTENT. TEEN TV and and comics are 100%.
Many adults are willing to pervert Young kids to MAKE A BUCK.
Bend the thinking for $$$$$$$$$$$$$ is GREAT if you want Sharia Law in the USA and Europe.

Adult content is sex and violence in our entertainment. It is not appropriate for children to view because they will be unduly upset by the violence and will not undertand the sex. It is appropriate for older children if they view with an adult who can answer questions and reassure them.
News, dogs and Presidential speeches are reality. Kids usually don't sit in church, they go to Sunday School.
When you get married and have kids these ideas will make more sense to you.

Adult content is obscene material exploited that children on here probably have seen or could be in this section which is so sad since anti-Christians suppose to have morals. You must have been reported.

Some of it is. Most of it is just dumb fantasy content. But when I see a movie that warns about "adult content" I know that there will be nudity or sex-scenes in it and I say "Wooooo Hoooo!"

It basically means nude adults, sexual inuendo above some threshold, and profanity. It's the stuff that bother Puritans in other words. Puritans are ok with killing people, so that isn't considered adult content.

Adults are those who have eaten the half apples, and need fig leaves to cover what they do undernaeath the covers. so what it is is adult content. animals do it openly. humans do it undercover. u find it in all media.

Usually things that aren't for children's eyes and ears. Nothing for them to look at, read, listen to.
