i can speak portuguese very well but i can't write it. my boyfriend is brazillian and i want to send him a love letter. thanks for your help

Writing Portuguese isn't too difficult, if you can speak it. It's not like english, once you know the sounds each letter makes, Portuguese is actually spelled like it sounds!
I'd suggest getting a beginners book or CD that can teach you which letters make which sounds and some basic grammar rules, and you'll be able to write it no problem.
A couple of phrases to get you through
Eu quero beijar-se (I want to kiss you).
Eu sinto o seu falta (I miss you).
Eu amo-te (I love you)

Nunca tinha que fala uma coisa assim em portugues, mas 'eu me sinto tua falta muito' is I really miss you, ou simplesmente 'eu tenho muito saudade de voce' (same, but more brazilian), eu desejo com todo meu coracao que vc estivesse ca (I wish with all my heart you were here). Am I going over the top now? lol. Ask the good peeps on the brazil version of yahoo answers, they're very quick to help with things like this. Boa sorte com sua carta ;)
