I don't have a "theme" either. But I realized one day that I have several art prints of the ocean in there. So I guess its kind of "New Englandy". Your idea sounds exotic - follow up on that!

I have a contemporary theme in my living room right now. An apple green sofa in microsuede fabric, painted canvases on the wall done by me, lol, in shades of greens, navys, and aqua blues, and a shag area rug. Its very fun!

Leather sofa, 2 queen anne wing back chairs, round end tables with queen anne legs, crystal lamps and floor to ceiling bookcases full of books and paintings. Lots of wood. Light green walls and hunter green upholstery.

The theme in my living room is books. Books. Books. It is filled with eclectric hand me downs. The colors are gold, federal blue, and crimson. The woods are primarily oak and teak.
