How about a gift certificate to their favorite restaurant? Then, they can go out and be together and share their day together alone. Maybe tickets to the movies, concert, or other type show or play. Something along those lines that gets them out together and gives them a memory they can share, courtesy of you.
I do not know what kind of money you have to spend, but if it is not much, even just a card saying I love you I am sure would be enough. Parents don't really expect much from our children. All we really want is to watch them grow to be good people and to be able to love them and be loved by them.
peace

Think about things that they do together. Do they like museums, wine, eating out, that kind of thing. Then give them a gift certificate or whatever is appropriate and relates to those things.
Also, I've found that something that parents always like, is framed family pictures. You could get a double frame and put in one side a picture of them on their wedding day and on the other, a picture of the whole family today.

How about a gift certificate to a bed and breakfast? It's a wonderful getaway your parents can take - usually they are only a few hours drive away and most provide great accommodations with gourmet breakfasts. It is really the perfect gift!! My husband and I have known each other 3 years, been married almost 1 and we go yearly to a bed and breakfast. Sometimes we go to different ones, sometimes we go to our favorites - and it is always fun. There's usually stuff to do in town, and it's just relaxing and fun.

You can plan a nice elegant dinner for the two of them and maybe a spa treatment for the both of them. A spa treatment may sound tacky for a guy but you could get him a massage. Everyone loves a good massage.
