my seedling is about a fingernail's length tall and has a v shape on the top. It is a light green. Any info I will appreciate. If you answer this question, please do not simply post links as I could do this and find different guides for growing, the purpose of my asking here is to get direct concise info, whereas I could not get such from sites as their info is contary to each other.

There are different types of cacti however most likely you should be able to put together a mixture of dirt and sand lay the seedling on top and gently push down on it. Water it initially and then give it time to root. Cacti like sun so give it bright light first and then move it into direct sun later when it is established. Depending on the species you have it may start to shrivel up and look like it's dying but this is typical. Watch for tiny roots and new growth. Don't over water. Good Luck!

I used to live in the Southwest and I was amazed that Cacti grow wild on the flat gravel roofs of places like WalMart. Honestly, nobody plants them there, they just show up, from seeds I presume. So I believe you should create an environment as close to a WalMart roof as you can, seriously, I am not kidding.
