Well, you gave your dogs to a Class B dealer or a Buncher. More information on these people right here:
http://www.lcanimal.org/cmpgn/cmpgn_dog_theft.htm
This is EXACTLY why you should never ever EVER give your dogs away for free. EVER. Charge $50, make the person mow your lawn, SOMETHING. If you give your dogs to someone, they are now considered that person's property and you can't do anything about what they do to them, as long as it's not considered cruelty. And no, being a lab animal is not considered "cruel" by the government.

I'm sorry, but I don't think that you can.
Did you ask her any questions when she came to inquire about the puppies? You might have asked her why she wanted six. Next time you'll know better, or have your pet spayed so it can never happen again. There were lots of things you could have done before she took them, but now I think it's too late, they belong to her now.
Next time do some research, you can find outlines for contracts, and they can give you good advice on the type of questions you should ask a potential buyer. Do a home visit. Even if she was just a regular person wanting to buy all six of your pups, you must have wondered if she could possibly care for all of them, vet fees, food.
There are bad people out there, this is a reason why puppies and kittens shouldn't be given away for free, often they go to animal testing, there are people who would use dogs to breed often in poor puppymill conditions, some people collect animals, and when they can't take care of them anymore they are abandoned.
A difficult lesson to learn, and learnt the difficult way.
Sorry for your loss.

If the police wont do anything maybe you can buy them back for what ever the lab would give her. You might lose money but youd save the puppies.
I have always been told not to give puppies away because of this reason, that you should charge something. Then those kind of people usually wont be interested.

Hmmm..this is a hard one. If you know where the lab is, then I would go there first and see if you can't get them to give your pups back to you. If you have some sort of evidence that they are yours, that would be beneficial to you and the pups, like papers if they have them. If that doesn't work, you could confront the woman and try to talk it over with her and see what shes up to.
If you still don't get them back, I would suggest getting a lawyer and having them resolve this matter. Good luck

call your local animal control (or a.s.p.a?) and report this lady. if she is doing something wrong, they will take the dogs from her and adopt them out. or take the law into your own hands and steal them back.
