Never had Yuengling. Rolling Rock is commonly known as "the Green Death" , and justifiably so in my opinion, so in any situation where I have my choice of Rolling Rock vs. a brew I've never tried before, I am always going to request the unknown over something I know is not very good.
Don't know about the price of the brewery. However, the original Lone Star Brewing Company copper kettles were sold and sent from San Antonio, Texas to China for a new phase in their useful life. Just in case anyone is interested.

I know I like both, but I haven't had either in a long while...I haven't even had a drink in over two months...But I would have to say I prefer Yuengling and it's probably more b/c of the name than it having a better taste. Rolling Rock screams American macro-brew and that tends to be a bad thing for some reason.

$82 Million to Anheiser Busch in May. Yuengling is less sweet than the Rolling Rock in my opinion, so it depends on what you're in the mood for. Both are decent, less expensive beers.

Yuengling.
InBev USA, the owner of the Rolling Rock brand, said last month it had sold the famed western Pennsylvania brand to Anheuser-Busch Cos. for $82 million, but that the Latrobe brewery was not part of the deal.

Yuengling, hands down...smoother, more balanced, not bad at all for an American Lager...Rolling Rock is cheaper, water with a beer seltzer taste...no thanks...BTW it sold to Anheuser-Busch for $82 Million...now can I have my 10 points please
