Yes, and like everything else it's going up.

Thanks to Bush and his pals credit card companies now have a license to steal and charge interest rates over 30% in some cases. Minimum payments have also increased and the ability to go bankrupt has been almost eliminated. The chasm between rich and poor grows ever wider.

Most Americans are slaves to their past purchases, have no savings and will never experience any kind of financial stability or reward. Plus companies don't even offer pentions anymore....face it--most of us are screwed.

You start off behind with student loans and before you know it you're in a no win situation.

Don't worry about it because worry changes nothing. In fact worry can damage your health if you let it. Get out of debt and lose the headache read the book "Total Money Makeover" by Dave Ramsey.

Sometimes I do, but truth is I put myself through this and it's not like I have major credit card debt or auto debt it's my mortgages, and student loans but I know both my husband and I are responsible people so there's really nothing to worry about.

I definitely do worry about it only because we don't have enough money to cover it right now. I know in my mind that we're paying it off and that there is light at the end of the tunnel but until it's all paid off I'm going to worry.

Hmmm...well, I don't generally worry about it. It is a fact that what it is I had little control over, but it is still intimidating.
