this question has hit a soft spot really allow me to explain
someone offered to marry me on yahoo chat! i declined you see i am Muslim (female Muslim) and he also claim to be Muslim - OK!
he was kind and needed me to invite him here to USA so he could come to be with me (his excuse to enter USA-OK!) me knowing game i declined his offer, and he went off on me really!
he said i had a nose like a pumpkin and i was so hurt knowing this was untrue ,first he found me very beautiful and not to mention i am 15 yrs older than he alright!
yet being African/Indian i am considered very beautiful but this insult has caused me to take a poll on my nose and no one can assure me i don't have a nose like a pumpkin !! lol what ever that is !
O.K
SO we do dwell but you know i got him back because i have lashed back with kindness and has now added him to my ignore list and he has said he was wrong and has begged me to forgive him and you know what it caused so much damage to just getting to be cordial with him i have declined yet still love him as everything in site known and unknown!

Maybe because in this crazy world everything has to do with beauty, great jobs, nice house, etc. just plain perfection. No one is perfect but everyone wants to be. Why when we'll never be perfect? Its just in our nature to want to be perfect & since we are not then sometimes we feel we have to put others down to make ourselfs feel better. You know this world would be a WONDERFUL place if we all didn't care so much about what we look like & what others thought of us, to bad though its not!

especially the nasty comment is in the morning or late in the evening
if it's the morning, then the whole day I'll be quiet cause I'll be thinking about that comment
if it's at in the evening, then I can't sleep at night
cause in general, I'm one who respects others so getting such remarks is awful...at least for me

It's like building a house of mirrors-it's all good until someone throws a stone.

Most people are not used to receiving compliments, and they really want to hear something good about themselves. So when they hear something bad, they just get even more angry.

because we take it for granted that we are absolutely beautiful, intelligent beyond belief, compassionate beyond imaging and the absolute best at what we do.
when someone says something to the contrary, it rattles our respective cages; we don't like it
