My boy is 3 (just turned) and is now potty training. He finally expressed some interest in the potty, and I went with it. I am training him to sit on the potty to do both jobs. We have a smaller toilet ring to put on the adult seat. He was afraid to have a bowel movement, but I just sat with him and encouraged him and let him put his arms around my neck to hold on to me and I hugged him, the first time. We also gave him sticker rewards and a potty book. Both were great incentives. He was so proud of himself and found out it was not scary, and I have not had to change messy pants since! Yay!

Get some potty books, potty video, etc.
Don't make a big deal out if, tell him that he is a big boy and big boys need to use the potty for peepee & poopoo.
you can try put him on the potty every 10 minutes, get a reward system going. Good luck.

Tell her patience is of the utmost importance, it can take another year, that's the way it is with boys. No pressure, sit him on the potty for 5 minutes, take him off, etc. if he does something do a really crazy funny dance, he might want to see it again.
Good Luck, I know of boys who still had a pull up until the age of 4. And now they are quite normal!!!!

For urinating we put Cheerios in the toilet and let my nephew stand on a stool and he "aims" for the cheerio and we made a game out of it.... For bowel movements watch for the signs of pooping then take him to the toilet... when he does it tell him great job make a big deal out of it and if he doesn't just tell him we'll try later and good try.... keep it positive!

My son is 23 months...and he sometimes shows interest and sometimes doesn't. Boys are difficult. You need to teach them by sitting down first...try using the reward method first. If he sits there...and goes pee he gets a treat

My son just turned three and still has no interest, I am told to have patience and not to pressure him and it will happen when he is ready.
