There are many disused racecourses. I think 10 have closed in the last 50 years.

I think there was one called Manchester Racecourse; Tweezledown (in Hampshire) is still used as a point-to point course; Ely Racecourse (South Wales) closed in 1939.

uk racing course is the one of the best in the world, turf, sand, plastic, it is all good, maybe it is the tradition of horse racing come from england, most of the great horses have to win in u.k to get more fame.
