I know him through my ex.We met at a party a few years ago.He was with his girlfriend at the time and I was with my boyfriend at the time.He was with his ex for 8 yrs,they broke up cause he wants kids and she does'nt,I was with my ex for4yrs,we broke up cause I walked in on him in the house we sharedwithanothergirl.So this guy and I run into eachother a couple months ago and talk about our ex's,I was still bitter about mine,he listened and ended up taking me home that night,I invited him in and asked him to sleep in the bed with me.He had told me earlier in the night there was a guy code on dating a buddies ex.and told me when he got in the bed he would be in trouble.I asked him to put his arm around me and he did till I slept when I awoke he had turned the other way.He did not make anypasses at me in the bed.Except to warm my feet because they were freezing.I hear he likes me but is freaked about my ex.He has not called me,but last time I saw him he came to me and said"your killing me

We the surfers of cyber world meet with so many people every day. He's a great guy but you really should stay away from him. He's more loyal to your Ex than interrested in you. At best you'll win a new boy that you may or may not keep and he'll loose a close friend. From the sound of him he's not your type, just there when you wanted someone. He's a sweet boy and you're used to men who are a bit more confident. Take a few weeks away from him and see if you';re still interrested. If that is his post he's not going anywhere soon.

Well yes he sounds like a good guy, and yes there is a code of honor there. You should really sit down and talk with him because if you pressure him to go against that cod, against his morals then in the end he could end up resenting you. Just because you ex was bad to you does not mean that he was a bad friend to him so don't try and take that friendship away. after talking to him and finding out that he really is interested you should both go to your ex and be honest by telling him you have feelings this way it will not be a surprise to him when he sees you together. Good luck girl but definitely talk to him he sounds like a possible keeper.!

Yes, you should go after him, I could see him not dating you if you broke up with him, or there was a mutual break up, but you ex was a total dog!! You should tell him that!

sounds like a racy movie script to me..r u sure u have broken up with your boyfriend?if so y is this guy freaked about ur ex? may be he's just giving an excuse coz he is still in love with his ex..u need to get these answers before u can proceed any further with him.but to do that u need to have a long heart to heart with him.dont act like kids.but make sure u r not getting into this relationship on the rebound.

SOunds like you're still bitter and trying to get back at your ex, even if you don't realize it....and he has reservations about becoming involved with you.
Best bet, move on and date someone who knows nothing of your ex and is 100% into YOU.

I met a guy and we started talking then after 2weeks i found out he was a friend of an x. Then when the x found out he told his friend not to date me so i called the x and explained he had no right to choose who i or his friend dated. Turned out he thought it was something i was doing out of spite but once i explained it had nothing to do with him he was cool about it.

it sounds like he really likes you, but hes trying to be a really good friend to your ex first, which is really good of him. im sure hes really torn between you two, and i think the right thing for him to do would be for him to be loyal to your ex and just be friends with you, even though your ex sounds like a total jerk. i know thats prob not what you wanted to hear :(
