Okay, I suffer from anorexia! I don't have ANY income right now, i need some help with my eating disorder...but every place that I have found...it costs LOTS of money to go! What can I do about this? Do they only provide these services for the rich?

It doesn't say what state you're looking in. I think I would call a mental health doctor/clinic and see what referrals they have. You could call a crisis hotline or go to yourstatesname211.org Ie: vermont211.org they have tons of #'s there to sort through and every call can lead to another resource. Also there are 12 stpe meetings all over the country. Try : www.eatingdisordersanonymous.org steph

Look in the phone book under social services. Make an appointment. The appt is free. Go in & talk to the social worker. She can help you find services (or support groups), in your area that will help. If there are any free medical services available, she will know or be able to find them for you.

I'm sure there are probably some support chat rooms online. Look in the yellow pages for support groups. But don't let that be the only place you go for help. Use everything you can find to help you succeed. You are asking for help. That's the first step on the road to recovery.

Good luck!!

Are you looking for an inpatient program or a counselor? Also, what state are you in?

My advice is to go to your doctor [or, if you don't have one, try a free clinic] and tell him your problem. He will know lots of options.

Good luck.
