"I Hope You Dance" by Leeann Womack. Beautiful, classy, but not too mushy!

Lifehouse is a great band and they have both really amazingly romatic music (I know you dont want that) but they also have some great music that is not to intense that might work for you.
Other suggestions: Perry Como was big in the 50's and that music I think is pretty upbeat. You may consider Frank Sinatra he has great music and his music is from the heart and is lovable.
Hope you find what you are looking for!

Are you talking about a dance at the reception with him instead of a father/daugher dance, or a song to walk you down the aisle?

For the dance, how about that song "I get by with a little help from my friends"?

"Cross My Heart", George Strait.
"My Love", Paul McCartney
"Warm and Beautiful", Paul McCartney (an amazingly beautiful song).
"Got to be Somebody's Babe", Jackson Browne
"Up On The Roof", James Taylor
"If I Fell", The Beatles (one of the best songs ever recorded).

The dirty dancing song. It starts out slow then gets upbeat so your not slow dancing for the whole song. I think it's the song I had the time of my life or something like that. It's on the movie..
