if a boat gets to a situation were it can only take one occupant, or else it will sink, and you find yourself and your soulmate in that boat, Would you jump down for him to live and you die? or let him jump and you live....i know you guys are not jesus, but tell me wat u will do in such instance.

i jump out and when im to exhusted he jumps out and puts me in boat and we take turns till rescue, why die one just stays out of the boat for periods at a time .

We should both jump out and just hang on to the boat. That will work for a long time unless the water's cold.
Better to get wet and save both than for one to die like a fool and the other to live like a prince(ss).

Why should anyone be sacrificed I'd try and find a way for both to survive. Could take turns holding edge of boat and floating on back with abdomen pushed upward so as to float!! Who wants to live without the other anyway??

Nothing is more valuable than my life,call me selfish,but who is not when come to concerning about your own life.How sure of you that he will let you let him jump and not the other way around.
Lets assume he jump,there is plenty fish in the sea,time will cure the wound.
If you die,are 100% sure that he will stay single for you for forever?
Then,I DON'T see the point you should't let him jump(if he willing)
