Once I open a box I have a very hard time putting it away, that salty greasyness is just so good.

Do you ever notice that they taste different sometimes? I live in New Orleans and if I get a 12oz box at the Winn Dixie they are buttery and flaky, the 16 oz boxes always suck the little snack boxes suck and the little snack bags are good. No matter what size you buy at the Sav a Center they suck. The ones at the Sav a Center are dry or something.

Personally, I think they taste like salted cardboard. However, the preschool my children attend serves them every day at snacktime - lemonade from a powdered mix, and a handful of Cheez-Its at every child's seat. So there are probably a lot of little kids out there getting addicted to Cheez-Its. Maybe that's what happened to you. :)

Try crushing them up and using them to coat a boneless, skinless chicken breast before baking them. Makes a good fish coating too. You can cruch them up and put on top of chili.
