When he tells me he doesn't want to marry me - and my take on that is: that's fine, I have a good life as is and don't need to make myself look for other men. And I realize I might look foolish to an outside observer for doing (or rather not doing) as I do - and I'm OK with that.
When I've learned to understand him in his own terms - above all, that if I speculate about 'what he meant by that', it will invariably turn out I was wrong - and I'm OK with that too.
When I've gotten so I know how to act in various situations - without his having to tell me expressly; or that we both thought up the same solution to a problem - independently of each other.
When I imagine all the things that could yet happen between us and find that I don't want to forget about his humanity and my love for him, regardless of how bad it gets.
When we've been spending time together for three years, and we get together to talk in the evening and lock ourselves in our secret hideout, and I don't even remember the many difficult things I've heard during our previous conversations - I'm still too busy thinking about how happy I am to be with him *now*.

Love is not a feeling. It is seen in your actions. Love is doing what is best for the other person even when it is not easy for you to do. Make sure you have some of the same interests so you can stay connected. Make sure you both want to have kids or not.
If you do have kids, how are you going to raise them, discipline them? You need to be together on these things otherwise it doesn't matter how much you love each other, those things will separate you and cause contention.

you know that u found love when u try to explain how u feel bout that person and it leaves u speechless and the words are stuck. u try to put into words how u feel about them and u still feel like u forgot to say sumthin or the words that u said didnt express the feelings for that person enough, you'll feel like theres sumthin missin, when ur in love there are no words to describe how u feel about them, love leaves u breathtaken

you know you found love when you get excited (not in the sexual way) to see the person every day as if it was your first time meeting them. when you cant get 'em out of your head, when you miss them when your are not together. stuff like that
