Usually the whites (sclera) of the eyes that turn yellow are a sign of some type of liver abnormalty. It's also called jaundice, and it can also turn the skin a yellowish color. She really needs to go and get checked out by a doctor that way he can see what's going on. This is nothing to play with...an infected liver is serious. Strongly advise her to go and see a doctor as soon as possible. Best of luck to you and her.

Jaundice, also known as icterus (attributive adjective: "icteric"), is a yellowing of the skin, sclera (the white of the eyes) and mucous membranes caused by increased levels of bilirubin in the human body. Usually the concentration of bilirubin in the blood must exceed 2–3 mg/dL for the coloration to be easily visible.
The following diagnostic tests may be performed on the advce of the doctor:
blood serum bilirubin
liver function tests and cholesterol
prothrombin time
complete blood count
ultrasound of the abdomen
liver biopsy
urine and fecal urobilinogen

She needs to see a doctor. She doesn't have to drink to get liver disease, and yellow eyes and skin are a sign of liver disease.
