I have never like the taste of any alcoholic beverage. However, I can not count the times I have been asked if I had/have a drinking problem. Or if I attend meetings...

Yes, I get asked all the time If I have a drinking problem. But it is because I use to drink like a fish, but I finally grew up and found all it did was make me be a jerk. So if you never have had a drinking problem then my hats off to you! As far as those people that keep asking you if you have a problem ask them if they do! I'll bet they are the ones that have the problem or at least had a problem! Peace!

I have been asked that before. I answer by telling them everything I have ever tasted has tasted like Formula44D.(In case you don't know, that is cough syrup with alcohol content!)So just tell them right away...I don't like the way it tastes! That will head them off at the pass!Have a wonderful day! and keep standing up for what you believe to be best for you. it takes more courage to do that than it does to give in. Your real friends will respect you for it.

When i tell people I don't drink it's becasue I'm broke that week or something. I do see what you mean, drinking is a very social thing now a days so if you encounter someone that says Her I don't drink then it's assumed that they had a serious drinking problem or someone in thier family had a problem with drinking.

Its a bad assumption wither way, soory people do that to you.

yeah I have too. Go figure. I take alot of meds for various medical issues and alcohol would do nothing but cause problems with most of them.

Its like if you dont drink something is wrong with you. I dont find I need alcohol to get through life - wish so many others didnt either.

Not me but here's an interesting story for you:
When I was a teen I worked in a factory. At this factory were two girls in particular. Girl A was sober but silly. Girl B acted sober but did drugs. Girl A was required to take monthly drug tests because she acted so silly while Girl B was not even suspected of doing anything. I know it sounds like I made this up but believe me, it's a true story.

My brother does this all the time. He calls me late at night and I can tell that he is "bent". He swears he hasn't been drinking. I play along ,and then tell him to lay off those allergy pills. That they are giving him drunk-like symptoms

Just ask these rude, insensitive people, "No, thank you." And smile. Don't answer their insufferable questions. I can't drink because I had hepatitis in college, but it's not any of their business.
