Trouble getting motivated to lose the "babyweight". Its been 2 yrs. Used to be a smoking sz6, now I'm a 12! EEK! Used to go to gym 5x's/week, now I barely go for a walk. I feel like I have zero time for myself. What did you do to get yourself back?

Been there honey! I gained astounding amount of weight when pregnant. Then just kept on going. I got up to a size 22 (okay it was more like 24) One day, I just decided it was time. It wasn't an Oprah moment or anything. My husband (who had also put on a lot of weight over the 11 years of marriage) and I decided to join our local YMCA. They have a great gym and offered free child care for 90 minutes. So I had no excuse. One year later I have lost 60 lbs. I still have a long way to go, but I know I can do it. Its the starting part thats hard. If you used to go to the gym, you can get yourself back in that habit. Also, it teaches your child that mommy values herself by taking care of herself physically and mentally by giving herself her own time. (Okay I just read that back and it sounds a bit confusing, but you get the point.)
Good Luck. I know you can do it!

First I went to the doctor (for other reasons) and discovered my thyroid was wacky, which was part of the reason I gained weight and had little luck in getting it off even during "dieting", was tired all the time, didn't sleep well / as tired when I woke up as when I went to bed type of stuff.
Since that point I've lost over 100lbs by watching my serving sizes, I do some working out (but not much really) and using a phrase a good friend made in to a "poster" for me.

The Possibilities and Choices are Infinite!

....What size bowl?

I have it taped on frig door and on the doors of food storage cabinets. It has helped a great deal in making good choices - but get your thyroid checked if are tired all the time (check on-line about other things like depression - that are related to low thyroid)

my son was 2 I went to the gym three times a week, and all
I ate was salads for around 3 months or less, every time i felt hungry I ate salads, any type! chicken , peas beans, vegitables anything, but I must say I did not eat any carbs at all, that was dangerouse and lead to extreme weight loss, which I gained back again so dont try that. I lost three stone in 3 months

I joined weight watchers and it took about 5 months of strict dieting to lose 30 pounds. It was actually pretty easy once you get into a routine. As long as you have the books, you don't have to go to the meetings (meetings are about $45.00 a month, but are great for support). Just remember to drink a lot of water and go for walks.

I backed away from the table! Ate smaller portions and never had seconds. Cut out the fried stuff and basically just kept moving. Drink a lot of water. Good Luck!

WELL I HAVE LOST 65 LBS.. AND STILL HAVE ABOUT 40 TO GO..I STARTED WITH WEIGHT WATCHERS AND WALKED ON THE TREADMILL, OUTSIDE (PUT THE BABY IN THE STROLLER) I GOT TAPES AND WORKED OUT AT HOME. EXERCISE IS THE KEY AND A BALANCED DIET. DOES NOT MEAN YOU CANT EAT WHAT YOU WANT SOME OF THE TIME, BUT REALLY EXERCISE IS THE WAY TO GO..GOOD LUCK

you will drop some weight very quickly, distinctly in case you swim lots. swimming for a million-2 hours in line with day, you may burn a minimum of 7 hundred energy. basically swim lots, and proceed ingesting 1200-1700 energy in line with day, and you'd be a minimum of a hundred and ten by utilising summer season and could be one eye-catching beast. basically proceed to consume the way you probably did to maintain weight
