You have to understand that the choice is hers to make. It is not easy to stop smoking. She is addicted and it is just so much easier said then done. I will pray for your Grandmother's health and well being. and I will pray that if she should pass away that she will be safe in the arms of Jesus where there is no more pain and suffering. I will also pray for you and your quick healing should she go on. God Bless you sweetie.

Definitely! Where two or more are gathered, right? My mom still chooses to smoke too, and I hear it is a hard habit to break. I will pray your grandma can find the strength in the Lord she needs to walk away, cold turkey even, from the want and need for cigarettes. Prayers and blessings!

Jesus,
you know indigobear's grandma. i pray Lord that you put your hand of healing upon her and help her arteries to clear. i pray that you surround her with people who will encourage her and support her to stop smoking and that you will help her to realize the damage she is doing to her body if she continues.
Please give indigo the wisdom to be bold and also the gentleness to be kind. Give her the strength to endure through this difficult season, and i pray this will be a time to rely and grow in you.
May you show your power to her, and may you receive all the praise and glory. In Christ.. Amen.
God Bless You- i'll keep praying for you and your grandma...

Sorry to break it to you, but God has nothing to do with it and the outcomes are totally in the hands of your Grandma. It is ok to have faith, but blind faith in a mythical book is dangerous. Instead of praying, talk to your Grandma and make sure she does not smoke because if God "asks" her to stop smoking then she might end up in the looney bin because that is where people end up that talk to god.

If she continues to smoke it isn't because god is not helping her but because she does not value her life. If all else fails, you could bluntly ask her why she doesn't value her life, although she may not be willing to say.
I will pray that she is able to confront whatever pain is within her, making her think her life is not worthwhile.
