You probably have lactose intollerance.
Lactose is a type of sugar found in milk.
You have two options, either get milk that has reduced lactose...It has the lactose broken down in to two more simple sugars, so it tastes a little different, a little sweeter.
Or you can take a supplement enzyme like Lactaid. This will also help you digest cheese, yogurt, and ice cream. Which often are not available in low lactose versions. This is also more convineiant when you are out and about town.
Usually the more "with" the milk the less trouble, so
so a glass of plain nonfat milk by itself would give you the most trouble. And a bowl of full fat flavored frozen yogurt would give you less. Since there are more complex things to digest along with it.
That is just a general rule. Lactose intollerance tends to be associated with people of asian or african decent. Although European people also expeirence. So you have plenty of company in your discomfort.
I hope the info helps.

Try Dairy Ease tablets. I have the same problem and I love milk and ice cream. It works for me but you have to find out for yourself the amount of tablets you should take for your digestive system.

Ever see any adult cows suckling up to another cow? Ever see any adult animal nursing on another? Maybe nature is telling us that we do not need milk as adults?
