Unequivocally yes! It depends on who your real Father is.

John 10:28-30 (Amplified Bible)

28And I give them eternal life, and they shall never lose it or perish throughout the ages. [To all eternity they shall never by any means be destroyed.] And no one is able to snatch them out of My hand.

29My Father, Who has given them to Me, is greater and mightier than all [else]; and no one is able to snatch [them] out of the Father's hand.

30I and the Father are One.

This is an example of nature versus nurture. There's certainly no gene for religion, but people tend to keep the religion their parents raised them in. Just shows how much thinking goes into the choice of religion.

your parents can try and pass on the customs, but they cannot pass on the true belief in ones heart.
God guides whom he wills. hence noah's son was not guided, Abraham was despite the fact that his father was not.
