No one knows for sure. Everyone's metabolism is different.

As long as you excercise; which most experts know is most important; you'll lose weight.

That's not a very healthy diet.

Remember that you didn't go to bed at 105 lb. and then woke up 157. It took time and so will getting the weight off. Again, don't be obsessed with the food you eat. Just eat a balanced diet and regular excercise and you'll be fine.

P.S. Usually the younger you are, the quicker the wt. will come off. Good luck and I'm sure you'll do great.

It's hard to say..depends on how much of those foods you eat (calorie intake) and how fast your metabolism is.

Do take a good multivitamin though, if you're going to eat a diet that is lacking in a lot of essential things the body needs. Melon is great, but ya can't live on it long and stay healthy.

And you want to "lose" weight, so your clothes become "loose" (small English lesson there). *smiles*

Any loss over about 3lbs a week is considered rather fast, and the chances of keeping it off long term diminish. Make a lifestyle change to eat healthy, and balanced...and workout regularly...then you won't have to worry in the future about dropping large #s of pounds...maintenance of your weight will be much easier.

Good luck!

It's safe to lose 1-2 pounds a week, but you need to make sure your diet is balanced. You need some protein (meat) and carbs (whole grains) mixed in there. You should aim for a calorie goal. To lose a pound, you need to get 3500 calories. Either do this by cutting calories from your diet or by exercise. So let's say you burn 200 calories by running a mile (I have no idea if this is even close, I'm just using this as an example) and you cut 300 calories from your diet daily. That's 500 a day, times seven days, and you will lose a pound a week. Make sense?
I meant to say "to lose a pound, you need to CUT 3500 calories"

If you want to change your body then take the time to learn how that works. First lose weight so clothes fit more loose like a goose. Eating only fruit makes the weight practically roll off. This has fastest way.

Good carbs like celery and carrots will never make you fat. Bad carbs like cake will, but you don't need to know the whole science of glycemic index and load. It is mostly NOT your fault, if you need to lose weight. The way we have been taught to eat is responsible for making obesity the number one health problem in the world (according to Atlantic Monthly magazine) replacing hunger and infectious disease. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin. Not a diet, but diet lifestyle.

Find out about fastest way to lose weight, gradual ways to lose weight, most effective exercise, good and bad carbs and anti-water. Lose bodyfat and retained water which also makes you a lot fatter (bloated). Most important-- make sure to read the last "fat loss tip", first before anything else, to see the number one food that causes Americans to be fat.

Great that you are eating fruits and meals and exercising. If you can run that fair you must be in some shape. Chances are that you will be losing one pound per week. It is important that you eat a well balanced meal. Teh fruits are good but mostly water and do not give you enough sustance. Consider some resitance exercises as well. As you add muscle you will be able to burn more calories. You do not need a gym for this, pushups, squats, hurdlers etc will do well. One pound a week is a very good avg. Losing to quicly causes a rebound effect. Fat comes off everywhere. You can not control where it comes off first.

none. your body goes into starvation mode when you eat like that. it knows you're starving yourself, so it despertly tries to hang on to every single calorie.

you need to eat 6 small meal a day, each one consiting of a healthy protein. no junk food, as little sugar as possible. just use common sense. and exercise.
