About 6 weeks to 2 months is normal. If you are worried about that being short notice you could always send out a save the date - we sent out our save the date about 6 months in advance but I've gotten them up to a year before the wedding took place. It's just nice to know so that you can block off that day on your calendar early on. Good luck!

At least a month and a half. That gives you time to figure out how many are planning on coming. But have your rsvp's dated about a month before the wedding.

Six weeks is suggested but you really need to send out save the date cards six months in advance so people can start searching for flights and hotels if that is the case.

I got married on June 3rd, and I sent out the invites on April 15th. 6 weeks is optimal, 8 weeks if you have a lot of out-of-town guests who will have to make special arrangements.

For out of town guests I would send atleast a month or two in advance but for local guest a few weeks should be sufficient!

Six to eight weeks before should be sufficient. I am getting married Sept 23 of this year and I sent mine out the middle of July.

in case you'll have keep-the-Date playing cards, those should be despatched out 4-5 months in the previous the marriage...then the invites are despatched out 6-7 weeks in the previous the marriage. you should actually have some lists of invitees. record "A" is for those those who you could't stay while not having on the marriage; record "B" is for those those who you're able to like to have, yet won't be able to because record "A" is already so long...once you get a "no" reaction back from a itemizing "A" invitee, then deliver out one to a itemizing "B" invitee...you're able to not deliver out invites after the 4 week mark, or so.

Rule of thumb is 6 weeks.
