There are a lot of guys who are mean to me at my school but it alway's seems to be in a joking way.

Guys can be playful or they can be cruel. If they are playful-mean, that means that they've accepted you as a friend and feel comfortable with you. They are mean to their guy friends all the time. If they are cruel and the jokes at your expense are hard for you to laugh at, then maybe you'd be better off avoiding them.

Lots of guys like to tease girls that they are interested in. There's a difference between teasing and being cruel, though. If it hurts your feelings, then even if they said it to be funny, it's not good. The younger the guy, the more likely being mean has something to do with liking you. Guys in their early teens don't have the social skills to really flirt in a sweet way most of the time, so it comes out as teasing.
If you think it's funny, laugh and tease right back. If you don't, ignore it and walk away.

A lot of guys are mean when they like you but so are a lot of jerks. Some guys are nice and sweet and all that stuff only when they are away from their friends but mean to you with them to show off. So, yeah, sometimes guys do like you if their picking on you.

when there mean they like you and i dont know why, cause i'm the same way.
I often hit girls just for them to yell at me and run me down, I dont know why but its fun.
If she just comes up and kiss me then I would just be clueless and hug her instead of hitting.
Not on the lips on the cheeks cause on the lips would signal to him, lets have sex.

Most of the time. Usually it's b/c girls respond more to aggresiveness.

if its in a joking way, then they are trying to flirt with you, most girls seem to respond more to meaness, as apposed to niceness, they are just flirting...
