It is normal...especially if they are the pregnant woman's own child. My son is going to be 2 on Thurs and since getting pregnant he has become even more clingy, even though he does not realize that there is a baby inside me. Young children can sense something...kind of like animals can sense an earthquake coming on.

It is suppose to mean that the child can sense the pregnancy. It happened to me when I was pregnant with a child that had wanted nothing to do with me before. There is also an old wives tale about how to tell the sex of the child. If it's a girl, boys will be attached to the pregnant women and girls will want nothing to do with her. If it's a boy it's the other way around.

I heard that if a child becomes attached to a pregnant women that; what ever the sex of the child that is attached is the women. The women will have the opposite sex.

In the nine months it takes to grow a baby inside, alot can grow and happen with a little on on the OUTSIDE too. A baby can go from a sleepy, quiet, wrinkly little thing, to a drooling, chewing, crawler interested in anything and everything around them.
Be glad that your oldest is bonding with you and getting special time before the new baby comes when your time will have to be split between them.
