Personally, I would try to give to family members & friends who really need the help. And maybe some strangers who have families and are really struggling. You........?

Besides helping a small group of families and my own, I would also sponsor needy orphans from the third world countries fortheir education and living. Most probably I would build some good Missionery schools in those regions.

I would be willing to help out with any particularly oppressive and "undeserved" debt incurred by family or close friends (medical bills are what's coming to mind right now), but I would not simply give away large chunks of money to these people. For one, large chunks of money are subject to gift tax, and for two, paying off *all* their bills may backfire and foster dependency.

I'd be more inclined to do something like contribute to retirement plans in their name, or something. I can be amazingly frivolous on a month-to-month basis, but I'd actually be annoyingly practical with a large windfall; while I'd certainly want to do some crazy stupid fun stuff with the money, I'd want a lot of it to go toward knowing that I can continue doing crazy stupid fun stuff with these friends when we're old and retired.

As far as actual charities go, I'd have to do more research into finding out which ones I could genuinely support. One I do know I like...dangit, I forget the name, but their thing is that they give very modest help - somebody needs $80 to cover an unexpected hike in a gas bill and has to decide between that and feeding their family for the month, that kind of thing. I can TOTALLY get behind that, because there are plenty of people who aren't destitute, but are working their tails off and still only one misfortune away from disaster.

1) Pay off all my debt.

2) Buy that Chrysler Pacifica- touring package, dark blue.... custom paint- ghost flames on the front!

3) Buy that piece of land I want, call an architect about designing a home... (yes, I already have ideas).

4) Put some money away for adoption or IVF (I can't have children, and we want to be parents). We've already had a couple of my friends offer to surrogate for us...

5) Call my brothers who live on the East coast, tell them they have plane tix home (UT) any time they want- Christmas, Spring Break, the weekend, whatever!

6) Call all my husband's siblings, find out how much they have left on their mortgages- pay them off... buy homes for those who still rent. One of my husband's brothers- he's mentally handicapped, and married with a son. This brother tends to want to move every 6 months or so... We'd probably buy a home for them, keep the title in our name, tell them they have a home there. If he chooses to live there- GREAT... if he chooses to not live there, we'd tell him that each rent check is just throwing money away, but whatever he wants...

7) Get a cell phone with international reception/calling for.... (just in case the social worker calls to tell us there's a baby for us!!)

8) Trip to Europe!! Yes, I have a list of the places I want to see... I'm sure once I'm there, it will get longer!! I also have a couple friends I'd take with me, people who would never be able to go, otherwise.

9) Sneaky!- buy my father-in-law's shop out from under him, then make it profitable!!! Continue to employ the family members who work there.

There are many more things I'd do. This is just a start..

I would pay off my depts, my parents depts and help my brothers, sisters and friends to get into houses. I would also buy them all nice new shiny vehicles that will hold everyone in their families. I would donate a lot to charity, and then set up an account and live off the intrest- let that account grow so my kids have something when I'm no longer living.

I would get a nice home for my Mom, and I would make sure that all of my nephews have enough money to go to college. I would help both of my sister's get a home also. Of course I would splurge a little bit on myself, my husband, and I'd have a great time spending some money on my little girl. But I'd really try to do that all in moderation, I don't want to end up one of those lottery winners who end up broke and bitter, I would want enough money to get my own home when we figure out where we will settle.

This is a great question! I myself personally would share the wealth.

I would hold on to about 10 M, and give a greater portion to 'various' charities. Prior to my deciding which ones, I would ask that the founders of these charities to prove to me, why they would require my money.

As for family ~ who wouldn't share their wealth with their family? We all love our families and would love nothing better that to be able to provide for them. Come on now everyone, we all know if we won that kind of money that we would have family/friends/and old acquaintences coming out of the woodwork.

One would seriously have to watch out for the 'greed' in people. This would definite attract one helluva a 'down-side' for winning.

GOOD LUCK ON TONIGHT'S DRAW EVERYONE!

Thanks

I don't need alot of money to live my life as I want to so I would be more then willing to help family and friends and those that honestly need it. But if your lazy and looking for a helping hand then I have an empty one to give you

I'd probably use it to pay off my brother and I's college and graduate school. I'm probably buy myself something nice like a Louis Vuitton bag. I'd probably also buy myself a house. The rest all goes to charity. I get $2 million. Charity gets $30 million

I'd l keep about about $20 Million, that way I'd be set and so would my kids and grandkids (they wouldn't just get it though - they'd get enough for college, but if they wouldn't be able to get anymore until they actually finished and had been working for awhile, and if they never did they wouldn't ever get it). But I'd give a lot of it to my parents and to my grandparents who have always beens so much to me in my life. Take care!

Basically, our plan is to pay off all of our families debt, buy our parents new houses, help out our friends with their debt and help a couple of them through college, then buy stuff for us and invest the rest and live off interest for the rest of our lives.
