if you are irritating the skin - stop!
If it is really bugging you then go see the doc. He can freeze them off. Very quick

If in doubt or in pain, it's always best to check in with your doctor.
I am taking a foot reflexology certification course, and learned of a natural way to treat plantar warts you might be interested in:
Mix some Epsom salts with a few drops of tea tree oil to make a paste. Apply this to the warts and cover with gauze and/or a bandage of some sort. If possible, reapply several times during the day. If not, it's best to apply it at night before going to sleep and then again in the morning.
I haven't tried this personally, but another lady in the class who had plantar warts had success with this method.
Take care, and I hope this helps! :)

I've used one of the new freezing methods available at the pharmacy for regular warts. It worked great. You might want to try one of those if the Compound W isn't working. I've used Compound W in the past and found it took way too long to work. The freezing was quicker. If that doesn't work you should definitely go to a doctor. The root might be very deep and the doctor would be able to see the wart better than you. The stuff they use is also stronger than anything at the pharmacy.

You need to see a Podiatrist. The plantar warts are caused from a virus. They will not go away unless a Doctor either burns them off or freezes them off. I had them when I was younger and they hurt. If you don't get them treated by a professional they will just get worse.

You're not supposed to screw with 'em after applying the Compund W. Here's the way it works. Go to a dermatoligist. They literally "freeze" the wart. Hurts alittle because what has happened is you've gotten a case of frostbite. The skin under the wart turns into a blood blister and eventually the blister breaks and the wart goes off with the dead skin.
Works every time.

I had three on my foot years ago. I kept trying the stuff from the store. I have really thick callouses on the bottom of my feet and the stuff just kept making layers of skin peel off, my skin was very tender, and it actually made it hurt worse. Finally after months of procrastination I went to the doc and she froze them off. I went to six flags that weekend and walked around all day and was fine. they never came back. If I personally ever get anotherone I'm getting them frozen off and not messing with the other stuff. I guess they do have that stuff you can buy yourself to freeze them off now. That might work if going to the dr isn't an option for you.

Yes this type of wart grows into the foot. This wart needs to be frozen and removed or scraped out. If you dont have it removed it wont get better and it will cause you GREAT PAIN.

you need to go see a doctor, who will probably freeze it off with liquid nitrogen. i got mine surgically removed and then needed about 5 liquid nitrogen sessions.
plantar warts grow inwards, inside your foot. while it many appear to be getting better, it may be growing further and further into your foot. the longer you leave it, the harder it will be to get rid of it and the more sessions of liquid nitrogen you will need.
