I know this girl who claims her family lived there for 3 years, but she is pathological so I am curious. If there is a base, is it a normal base, where your entire family could live?

There's not a base there but your friend may be referring to the Embassy or possibly embassy annex.

For the last time people, the nation is spelled C-O-L-O-M-B-I-A ..... COLOMBIA!!!!! Now, to answer your question there are no large scale U.S. military bases in Colombia. U.S. Special Forces do operate out of Colombia -- usually on a Colombian military base or perhaps a safehouse of sorts -- but only as military advisors. This girl appears to be a bonafide liar if you ask me.

Yes there are a few places in Colombia where family members may go. Most of the bases in Colombia are pretty remote though. The U.S. maintains a few airfields, and few safe houses. However I would need more info before i could call her a liar. Tell me more.

Well they do have spooks or special forces operating in Columbia. They also have a big diplomatic mission down there so her family might have worked at the embassy.
