you need to visit a docot as soon as possible it could be a very serious condition or it could be something as simple as a cyst which can be painful but not life threating. best bet let a doctor look at it and make sure.

Your lymph nodes in your groin are there to fight infection.

Nodes are all over your body.... in your neck, under your amrs, in your groin. What they are... are basically barriers to any infections that are around. If your groin nodes are up... then they more than likely are fighting an infection that is somewhere lower than your groin... like your feet.... same as if under your arm is up..... then they are fighting something on the arm.

If all your nodes are up then a bug has gotten into your body system... like the flu virus..and your whole body is attempting to fight it.

If only one node is up.... then you should be concerned to go to a doctor to have it examined. If you have recently had the flu, or a virus of some kind then it can be realistic that they are up because of that.

You dont say why you think you have hiv to start with. Unless you are in any of the risk groups to start with, then I dont know why you would think of something so drastic to start with.

Other causes of lymph nodes being up include cancers or swelling of the legs... Many causes.. but primarily they are fighting some type of infection.

Hello,

It dosent mean that you have hiv. Go tot he doctor a trustworthy doctor, and the doctor can give you some accurate conclusuions.

I doubt it, if it has always been there, it is probably something else..it could be anything, it is best to get checked out.

Also stress/anxiety can cause some symtpoms to especially hiv but people do not have it.

Take care

I was just hospitalized for that, it was due to a virus that I contracted some where. You should go to the docters for it. Just because the nodes are swollen doesn't mean you are HIV +, I am not & my nodes are still partially swollen! Hope this helps!

we have glands which you express as nodes. sometimes it can be as simple as a sign your catching a cold. BUT any lump should be checked by a physican. simple because its there job to diagnoise lumps and such. check under your arms and under your ears for swelling. if you find more lumps go quickly to a doctor. it could be something youve contacted. are they sore? are they red and have heat? could be a start of a boil. you definitly dont have HIV from the lumps, could be genetic, could be something more. why guess seak proffecional help. :)
