My Mom has told me all my life about this man and the possibility of him being my father. I contacted him through my aunt, and made clear to him that all i wanted was a paternity test. He was friendly and game almost as if he knew he was my father. I hear that I look alot like his family. I paid for the DNA, I am on the west coast he's in the east, but somehow his wife found out. She flipped! She sent me an e-mail saying that I've caused alot of drama in their homes, that there are too many people that this would hurt. He sent me an e-mail saying to please not contact him anymore( I think it is her writing). I don't want to give up.

A good approach with guys (in almost any setting by the way) is to be factual.
I want to know who my dad/father really is.
I want to know about family health issues. Heart, lung, blood diseases, what are the things I need follow up on in my own health.
If you are a minor he/she may be concerned about child support issues - not saying they shouldn't be - just noting it might "hinder" his willingness to cooperate.
Best of luck to you
