Wow what a great matchup! I saw Benitez handle Duran, give Leonard all kinds of trouble and man could he box! He was clever and never seemed to panic remaining calm throughout his fights. I saw Trinidad several times too and he is an amazing talent too. I give the edge in boxing skill to Benitez and power to Trinidad. In a thrilling fight with changes in momentum during the fight, I see Benitez escaping with a close decision win! Great question!

I remember Benitez running around and pawing at Carlos Palomino and got a split decision in Puerto Rico. I remember Benitez trying that same crap with Leonard and Leonard handled him pretty well. Tito just tried to take on heavier, stronger fighters and it didn't work out. If Tito allowed Benitez to dance around him, Benitez would win by decision. But if Tito ever caught him in a corner or cut off the ring successfully he'd knock Benitez into the next area code. Personally, I'd like to see Tito beat the crap out of that loud mouth pansy. Awesome match-up though. Great question.

Benitez was a wizard, and for a time was called the bible of boxing, you don't get a title like that for nothing, a world title at 17 which is still in the record books and still standing today......

Benitez glides to a super easy victory. Trinidad, as Oscar and Winky proved, can't box, can't deal with a fighter who moves. Benitez was one of the great defensive tacticians, with great hands. Trinidad wouldn't have a chance, but one: luckily landing a big shot, very unlikely.
