I had some jellied eels on Brighton Pier once and I had to throw them up into the sea they were so disgusting. They were the worst thing I have ever eaten.
Much worse than romanian rabbit-gristle soup (the third worse), but only slightly worse than a peculiar type of brown cheese you get in Norway (second worse).
Re: the cheese, even the norwegians admit it's dreadful, but they eat it out of national pride. The Romanians have the gristle soup out of grim necessity.
But what's the point of Jellied eels? There is no excuse.
What's the worst food you've ever eaten?

I have heard of the lutefisk but never tried it (is this another Norwegian pride thinngy?).
However, liver & onions, kidneys, sushi, toungue, calamari, snails, congealed blood (black pudding) are all delish if done correctly. And iced oysters washed down with guinness - orgasm*c!!!
Right about the ciggy ash and coke. I accidentally tried this with stale beer once. Nasty. But it's not a food!
I saw eyeballs and cows hooves in Marrakesh, but didn't dare try them.. The morrocan tea that someone said was discusting is mint tea, and is fantastic with loads of sugar in it.

Sweetbreads :-
Sweetbread is the name of a dish made of the thymus (neck/throat/gullet sweetbread) or the pancreas (belly/stomach/heart sweetbread) of an animal younger than one year old. These animals are usually piglets or calves. However, llamas may also be preferred.
The two organs have very different biological functions, but look fairly similar and so are considered, for the purpose of cooking, to be comparable. Thymus sweetbreads are slightly longer and more irregular, with pancreas sweetbreads being larger and more rounded.

Squid guts, it was a sort of side dish with a Japanese meal... tasted awful. No, wait, that must come second place to my mother's porridge now I think about it- she left milk in it overnight in hot weather, and served it to me when I was still sleepy. I managed a spoonful before I realised it was putrid. Yuk.
I had a fried grasshopper once too, but it wasn't so bad really, it was just thinking about what I'd eaten after I'd eaten it that made me feel a bit queasy... third place I suppose. It tasted of butter and was a little crunchy.

Calves brains. Its a long story. I had a nibble out of politeness and couldn't believe that a protein rich nation would consider it edible.
And I like jellied eels, just don't eat the skin or the jelly.

Bad sushi, there is nothing worse than biting into a pile of slimy rice and half rotten fish, yuck. I make sure to ask around about a place before I eat there now.

I am going to nominate the Big Mac. Sorry for lack of originality but mayo and gherkins squashed inbetween two defrosted bits of beef which look smaller than it is advertised isn't worth eating at all.

I have had sheep head which was WILD, it is the only way I can explain it. Chicken feet are a little too scaly. The strange thing is that I can NEVER keep artichokes or sushi down, uncultured I know!

Why would you put that crap in your mouth in the first place? I don't eat anything out of the norm. I really don't like much meat anyway. I want eat anything out of the water. When I was young, my dad made me eat liver and frog legs. I would say that was the worse.
