I don't specifically believe they are aliens but I do believe anything is possible. And I do mean anything. It's technically possible we might really be giant purple cockroaches on mars dreaming that we're humans. How would you be able to tell the difference. So it is entirely possible that the tribes mentioned might have been visitors from other worlds. Or they could have been a breed of humans that evolved to the point of developing 'superhuman' abilities. I think what's more important is what was learned from association with these individuals and study of their culture.

Anything that could hardly be proven to originate on earth are always considered an alien invasion. Even the book of Ezekiel in the Old Testament has it. The earth is more than a hundred million years old. A possiblity that this is a cycle of life where like a spinning wheel, man's capablity of advance thinking has brought disastrous result like in Atlantis and Lemuria and is about to happen to our generation. New people has to start all over without memories of the past. A fraction of the progressive ones could have been left yet possibly going to an extinction already and have encountered the new civilization still in quests for understanding their existence and origin. That is my belief. Unless a real alien will physically show themselves today and tell us where is their planet located.
