Something not too high in sugar or fat. Oatmeal is one of the best meals you can have. Sugar and butter kind of ruin the healthiness of it, so consider sweetening with applesauce, splenda or other sweetener or use sugar in moderation. For a buttery taste if needed you can use Olivio, Brummel & Brown or CarbSmart. These taste great and are good for you.
Whole wheat toast is good if you're not allergic to gluten.
Fruit is always wonderful: I prefer half a banana, half of an apple and some red grapes.
We all need protein so turkery sausage or bacon or beef bacon is good.
Calcium is great, so plain or lowfat yogurt with above said fruit mixed in is great.
That being said, breakfast offers so many delicious varieties and you could even do french toast, waffles and bacon in moderation. Special K, Total and All Bran are great fiber filled cereals, too. Fruit is better than juice which is high in fat.
Can you tell how much I adore breakfast?!?!?

Whole grains, fruit and lowfat dairy.
A good whole grain cereal like Kashi gives you a lot of protein. Go with fruit like berries or citrus and remember, whole fruit is better and lower in calories than juice. Of course, a small glass of 100% grape or cranberry juice is excellent too! The more color the fruit has, the more vitamins it has. Don't forget a glass of water and a multivitamin!
A light breakfast packed with nutrition will get your metabolism and your brain flowing for an excellent start to the day.

I consider a healthy breakfast to be one that consists of a good protein source, a healthy fat and a whole grain carbohydrate. The protein and fat will help to keep you feeling full longer, the fat (if it is a healthy fat - mono and/or polyunsaturated) is beneficial to heart health and including a whole grain will provide you with the energy from the carbohydrate but will also provide a good source of fiber with other essential vitamins & minerals. An example of this type of breakfast could be: lean eggs with a slice of canadian bacon on a piece of whole wheat toast - OR - one cup of low fat yogurt with a sliced fruit and a low fat granola sprinkled on top.

Coffee.
Fruit juice.
Toasted bread with a little butter and maybe marmalade.
A slice of fruit.
But hell. That is not at all what I eat. I usually have coffee with nasi lemak and soybean milk and sometimes egg sandwiches or chee cheong fan(pig intestines) too.
I feel a lot healthier after a proper breakfast like that. I am a pig.

I thought it was granola, soymilk, strawberries, and a cup of green tea.. but today I saw a report on the unhealthiness of granola, so I guess I have to change my ways
