If you're backing up an opinion with evidence, I agree that the Yahoo moderators are WAY out of line by silencing you.

They might as well tell non-theists that they are not welcome on Yahoo.

I'm not sure if we need to take an IQ test to prove anything to you, but if all you want to do is insult someone who has a greater peace, love and sense of compassion for others than you do...
how can that possibly help you?

If you are using inappropriate language, harassing, violence, hatred, etc. then you are in the wrong medium. Yahoo doesn't allow this type of behavior.

If you are non-religious, why not just visit the science category?
Plenty of people will welcome you there, nothing there to make you upset either.

Very little that happens here is actively 'moderated'. In all likelihood, enough touchy report-happy believers reported you that the question was just automatically erased. You can raise the issue directly with the Yahoo! Answers staff, but I highly doubt anything will come of it.

Best just to accept that it's essentailly an unmoderated place where, for better or for worse, mob rule reigns.

No but enough people get offended by that "conclusion" to get you reported enough to get your questions removed.

Religiousness and intelligence are in no correlation whatsoever. As far as I know (I may be wrong, but I think I read it somewhere), Einstein _was_ religious, and people don't get much more intelligent than that; I know for sure that Galileo was deeply religious, and he was also quite intelligent. Don't make assumptions, assumptions tend to get things messed up.

I have a question for you..Do you believe in evolution because you were told that only intelligent people believe in it? In 2005 Newsweek did a survey in the US and found 80% of people believe that God created the universe. Is that because they are uneducated? The science journal Nature reported in 1997 that almost 40% of biologists, physicists and mathematicians believe in a God who not only exists but listens to and answers prayers.

Because they don't think Ask Yahoo should be a forum for you to be abusive to people you have issues with. Here's how it works. You pose an inciting question, people who are offended report it for whatever reason they want to, the question is pulled. Don't want to get pulled? Stop posting stuff that pisses people off.

It makes me laugh. You get these nutters down the town on Saturday mornings giving it all "God loves you ... etc" with their plackards and posters and all that.
If I was to set up a stall shouting out things like "God doesn't exist, believe in science" I would get moved on in no time.
How is it fair that religious people are allowed to be offended by non-religious views, but I'm not allowed to be offended by people shunning scientifc method in favour of blind faith?
