It seems to me that the best relationships, the ones that last, are frequently the ones rooted in friendship. You know, one day you look at the person and you see something more than the night before, like a switch has been flicked somewhere, and the person who was just a friend is suddenly the only person you can ever imagine yourself with.

I agree, it's nice to be friends first, because then you can see how they treat their boy/girlfriends in the past and figure out if their the right one for you. You also know most of their past, so ou don't have to worry about them wearing a mask.

That's because they already know what there is to know. There is none of that bull **** trying to be something that your not when you first start to date. Then you have to get to know the person allover again after about 2-3 months. I hate that. That is the worst part about dating.

Friends have good comunication and keep it open.
That is why marriages with good comunication last for so long and both are happy.
I know a couple who have been married for 61 years.
I asked her why she married him.
She said he made her laugh and keeps her laughing threw it all.
